7-Day Sri Lanka Tour Itinerary

This route covers Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala National Park and Galle—a popular one-week Sri Lanka circuit combining culture, mountains, wildlife and the southern coast.

Katunayake → Sigiriya → Kandy → Nuwara Eliya → Ella → Yala → Galle → Katunayake

Day 1 – Katunayake → Sigiriya

• Airport pickup at Katunayake
• Drive to Sigiriya / Habarana
• Visit Dambulla Cave Temple

Day 2 – Sigiriya → Kandy

• Arrive in Nuwara Eliya
• Explore Gregory Lake / city

• Visit tea estates in the morning
• Optional Nanu Oya → Ella scenic train journey
• Arrive in Ella
• Visit Nine Arch Bridge
• Evening at Ella town
• Overnight: Ella

The Nine Arch Bridge is one of Ella's signature attractions, with the historic railway bridge surrounded by lush mountain scenery.

Day 5 – Ella → Yala

• Visit Little Adam's Peak
• Visit Ravana Falls
• Drive towards Yala
• Afternoon/evening Yala National Park Jeep Safari
• Look for elephants, leopards, crocodiles and birds
• Overnight: Yala / Tissamaharama

Day 6 – Yala → Galle

• Drive along the southern coast
• Visit Unawatuna Beach
• Arrive in Galle
• Explore Galle Dutch Fort
• Sunset walk around the fort ramparts
• Overnight: Galle / Unawatuna

Day 7 – Galle → Katunayake

• Breakfast at hotel
• Relax at the beach / free time
• Optional stop at Bentota
• Continue via the Southern Expressway
• Arrive at Katunayake / Bandaranaike International Airport
